We are nearing the peak weeks of fall color in New Paltz and Highland.

Estimates are that we will be at peak in two weeks. Visitors to the area last weekend had a peek at the colors to come. We are seeing patchy colors.

There are many opportunities to see nature’s artwork as well as enjoy the fresh air of autumn. Hike the local trails, stop by a local farm to pick up some local produce, eat at a local restaurant and shop the local stores. A Highland must see is the Walkway Over the Hudson but also a rare treasure is the Frannie Reese Park.

For those coming up from Manhattan, you can visit the area from the Gunks to the Hudson with a short 90 minute drive. A short drive but a world away.
