I have a website. Is that enough?
The National Association of Realtors reports that 89% of real estate companies have a website. If you're like other agents and brokers you've probably taken the first step in putting something up online. However, if you are satisfied with just being online and having a website, then you've failed to recogize the primary objective for a real estate website.
If a tree falls in the forrest and no one is there to hear it, does it exist?
We've all heard this philosophical question. Now let me rephrase it to apply it to real estate websites--If a real estate website is online, but no one sees it, does it exist? The answer to that is easy--No!
Your ultimate goal is to get customers to your website and make them loyal customers--you cannot do that unless your are consistently attracting buyers and sellers to your website.
Importance of Search Engine Rank
Most users find a website through a query using a search engine like Google. Furthermore, most users browse the first page of results and go no further. The goal of every Realtor should be to have their website appear on the first page of search engine results for important keywords relating to real estate in their area.
